Fish Fry Recipe | Fish Fry | Best Fish Fry | Mackerel Fish Fry | Kerala Style
Mixture prep 5 minutes
Ready in 10-15 minutes
Serves 3-4 people
*All ingredients used are organic & local.*
Ingredients:
- 1 fresh Mackerel/Bagda fish
- 2 Cloves of Garlic
- 3 tbsp Apple cider vinegar (any cooking vinegar is fine)
- 3 tbsp Water
- ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tbsp Jeera/Cumin seeds
- ½ tbsp Peppercorns
- ½ tbsp Shahi Jeera
- ½ tbsp Fenugreek seeds
- ½ tbsp Fennel seeds
- ½ tbsp Coriander powder
- ½ tbsp Turmeric powder
- ½ tbsp Garam Masala
- ½ tbsp Red Chilly powder
- ½ tbsp Homemade goda masala OR paprika powder
- ½ small Cinnamon sticks
- ½ tbsp Cloves
- Salt (as per taste)
Mixture preparation:
- In a large plate, take Mackerel fish, Mustard seeds, Jeera/Cumin seeds, Peppercorns, Shahi Jeera, Fenugreek seeds, Fennel seeds, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder, Garam Masala, Red Chilly powder, Homemade goda masala OR paprika powder, Cinnamon sticks, Cloves, Apple cider vinegar (any cooking vinegar is fine), and Water.
- Blend everything thoroughly in a mixer (add water gradually if required).
- Marinate 5-30mins.
Frying:
- Add Ghee to a heated pan and now add the marinated fish.
- Fry on each side for around 5 mins (Cover with a lid if required).
- Once ready serve on a nice clean plate with some Lemon & sprinkled coriander leaves.
