Lassi | Lassi Recipe | Indian Lassi | Homemade Lassie (Elaichi & Almond)

Serves 1 person





Ingredients:
  1. 4 tbsp - Dahi/Yogurt
  2. 1/2 cup - Milk
  3. 1-2 - Almonds (freshly grated for garnishing)
  4. 1 tbsp - Sugar (Optional)
  5. 1/8 tsp - cardamom/Elaichi powder (Optional)
  6. 3-4 - Ice-cubes (Optional)

Preparation:
  1. In a blender, add yogurt, Milk, Sugar, and ice-cubes - blend everything well for around 2 mins.
  2. Take out lassi into a nice clean tall glass/stainless steel cup.
  3. Add Elaichi and mix well.
  4. Finally, add shaved Almonds for garnishing and serve fresh & chilled.



Tips:

  • If you are making this for more than one person then just double the quantity of all ingredients.
  • You can totally avoid sugar if you wish.
  • Feel free to use any kind of yogurt i.e. flavored, Greek, plain, kefir, etc.
  • Cardamom & Almond is optional but when added gives a refreshing taste.
  • To give a twist to your lassi, add any local & seasonal fresh fruit and blend everything together and voila, delicious fruity lassi is ready. My personal favorite is Mango lassi during summer.
  • If you prefer, you can also add cinnamon powder to it.
